Are you ready to find more joy in parenting?

To be present, and connect more deeply with your kids?

To leave behind parenting guilt, shame & frustration ?

You’ve read all the books, follow all the “best” parenting accounts, you’ve tried all the techniques and philosophies…

…yet you’re still exhausted, overwhelmed, & stuck in survival mode with your kids.

Can I tell you a secret?

—No amount of information will make your parenting experience better.

Changing your kids behaviour won’t make your parenting experience better.

The answer to a happier, healthier parenting experience lies in your body.

It starts with you.

An embodied parent is honest & open.

An embodied parent knows that they must fill their own cup before they can fill others’ - “It starts with me.”

An embodied parent has the capacity to be fully present with their child.

An embodied parent makes mistakes, and says “I’m sorry” with love.

An embodied parent has compassion and gives grace & space.

An embodied parent is a guide & a model for what it looks like to be a messy, imperfect, kind & loving human being.

What is an embodied parent?

What is an embodied child?

An embodied child feels safe (most of the time).

An embodied child makes mistakes, and learns to accept responsibility.

An embodied child grows capable of setting and respecting boundaries.

An embodied child feels free to explore & express.

An embodied child grows into an embodied adult.

Are you curious about what it takes to become a more embodied parent?

During one on one somatic sessions with Kayla, you can expect:

It starts with you

Understanding your own triggers, childhood trauma, patterns & survival responses is the first step to becoming a more embodied parent.Together, we work to build a strong foundation on which to build more joy & connection with your children.

What are your pain points when it comes to raising your child(ren)? Which aspects of daily life feel sticky? Identifying the core needs behind your triggers helps to build compassion & patience - for your children and yourself.

Identification

Behind every behavior or pattern is a biological need for safety. Using somatic techniques, we will find ways to re-wire your body to detect cues of safety instead of cues of danger, building your capacity for the “ventral vagal” nervous system state - our deepest state of connection and comfort.
